Service Description

You may be wondering what you will be doing? During the week you will have the opportunity to learn multiple beginning sculpture skills through three projects. For the first part of the week, we will learn the skill of plaster block carving. Later in the week, we will work on wire sculptures and develop knowledge to transform wire into whimsical objects of the participant’s choice. Additionally, there will be a week-long project for each participant that will encourage students to think creatively and unexpectedly! As a recent graduate from college, I took some of my favorite projects from my undergraduate classes and made them into a week of classes. I am super excited to provide the opportunity to 5 participants to learn, engage, and grow. Due to social distancing guidelines, only 5 participants will be allowed to participate. In addition, there is a 60 dollar material cost built into the cost of instruction. This is due to every student getting their own tools and safety gear to adhere to social distancing guidelines. This class will take place in my backyard in NE Portland. There will be an outdoor hand washing station and I would recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated!
